He is acknowledged by fellow musicians as one of the very best guitarists on the circuit .For a number of years he was lead guitarist for Elkie Brookes' band 'Vinegar Joe' moving on in the 90's to work with John Parr of 'St. Elmo's Fire' fame. Later he was guitarist for Bill Wyman's 'Rhythm Kings' during which time, in 2004 ,he won a Brit Award for his song "Father's Son". He has been on stage with BB King and featured regularly with the late Gary Moore and 'Thin Lizzy's Snowy White.
